I scotchbrited, cleaned, and then primed my aileron hinge brackets for the right wing. I clecoed and riveted the outboard hinge bracket, ensuring that the countersunk rivets were on the "outboard" side of the bracket...
The inboard bracket also needs countersunk rivets....on each side. When I read the instructions and looked them over, I screwed up the "outboard" and counersunk the rivets on the inboard side, closest to the bearing....damn it! I realized it after I countersunk the 2 rivet holes on the W-413A-R.
I riveted the outboard bracket on with no issues. Came inside and ordered a new part from Van's...arg
I continued deburing the flap brace and the aileron gap fairing.
